I created this site to support Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) graduate students who are the future of our profession. I will add resources, research, tool, strategies, tips, and any information that I feel will be useful in their developing SLP toolbox. The content is informational, not recommendations. Use everything to build your differential diagnosis skill set. Embrace your power and “Benevolence” should be an action word.

March 3, 2023–Balancing It All

This is an older posting from ASHA, however, it has some wonderful resources and reminders about maintaining a sense of balance as a practicioner. You are currently potentially trying to balance many things: graduate work, jobs, finances, relationships and families. Don’t underestimate the challenges you face. Take care of yourself. Reach out for help when you need it. These are skills you will use as a practicing SLP. Check out this ASHA Link: https://www.asha.org/practice/connecting-audiologists-and-speech-language-pathologists-with-mental-health-resources/

I have included a PDF of ASHA’s document–their valuable links are not active.
