I created this site to support Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) graduate students who are the future of our profession. I will add resources, research, tool, strategies, tips, and any information that I feel will be useful in their developing SLP toolbox. The content is informational, not recommendations. Use everything to build your differential diagnosis skill set. Embrace your power and “Benevolence” should be an action word.

Resources for Parenting After an Acute Neurological Event

Please access and share the information contained within the Padlet cited below. These are resources for spouses and families of individuals who experience an acute neurological event during young adulthood. This Padlet was designed and is maintained by Marjorie Pehrson a graduate student clinician in the MSMEDSLP program at the Center for Communication Disorders at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Marjorie designed the Padlet as part of her Capstone project for graduation requirements. Marjorie recognized a significant gap in support services for the spouses of patients who were also parents of small children. Marjorie has already been invited to present this content to the staff at a Utah rehabilitation center in Salt Lake City, UT. Marjorie can currently be contacted at marjorie.pehrson@rm.edu. https://padlet.com/marjoriepehrson/additional-rsources-for-parenting-after-an-acute-neurologica-2htmorgypwlxfhpj
