I created this site to support Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) graduate students who are the future of our profession. I will add resources, research, tool, strategies, tips, and any information that I feel will be useful in their developing SLP toolbox. The content is informational, not recommendations. Use everything to build your differential diagnosis skill set. Embrace your power and “Benevolence” should be an action word.

ADHD in Girls/Women

I try to understand all disorders from the perspective of the literature. What the literature does tell us is that some populations are under-represented in studies. These areas or gaps are great opportunities for graduate students to be thinking about for research. Faculty are supportive in helping students grow research. An area that is getting more attention is ADHD in women and girls. As SLPs we work with students presenting ADHD who may be exhibiting weaknesses in social language and higher level language skills. An interesting article came within my emails. You may want to take a look. Happy Day. Priscilla
